Trinity Academy Halifax
MPR / UPR
Across the Trinity Multi Academy Trust there is a relentless focus on improvement. With that vision in mind, Trinity Academy Halifax (TAH) is working in partnership with local providers to deliver a brand new Sixth Form College. The new provision will be within the multi-million pound refurbishment of the Northgate site in central Halifax.
Initially accommodating up to 600 students, it will grow to a capacity of 1000 learners to meet increased demand. Those who enrol to the current TAH sixth form provision will be educated at its current site from September 2019, then relocated to the Northgate site for January 2020.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a transformational project, designed to allow more young people to benefit from an outstanding sixth form provision in a state-of-the-art new building. Aspirations and ambitions are high and the potential huge.
We have an exciting opportunity for a PE Teacher / Sixth Form Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge particularly around delivering Level 3 Sport. It would be advantageous if the candidate had experience of teaching Pearson BTEC Level 3 Sport as the current units covered include Anatomy and Physiology, Fitness Training and Programming for Health and Well-Being, Sports Leadership and Professional Development in the Sports Industry. They will be able to demonstrate a high degree of commitment to effective learning and have the ability to support students in developing their understanding and environment of the subject. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to participate fully in the wider life of the sixth form, particularly in the enrichment/extra-curricular sport programme.
Across the Trust, we invest in the professional development of staff and are able to offer comprehensive CPD opportunities for all. In addition to this, as the trust expands, there will be development opportunities to accelerate your career progression and build your leadership skills, whilst contributing to the trust’s vision of improving education for all.
