The Role

Trinity Academy Grammar  

Curriculum Tutor (Positions available in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, French) 

32.5 hours per week, Term time only plus 5 days 

Scale 2 (Points 3 to 4), Actual starting salary range:  £15,773 – £16,058 

Since becoming part of the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust, Trinity Academy Grammar has had a plethora of successes.  In February 2023 Ofsted graded the academy as good with outstanding features in leadership and personal development.  This followed being awarded the World Class School mark in 2021.  These transformational changes mean that it is an exciting time to join the academy, we are incredibly proud of our successes, and we are looking for the best people to work alongside our already committed team to continue our journey.

All these fantastic and exciting initiatives require the expertise and commitment of dedicated staff and Trinity Academy Grammar now wishes to appoint a Curriculum Tutor.  As Curriculum Tutor you will be based in the relevant subject area (Maths, English, Science or Humanities) depending on your experience and specialism, to support our students in achieving their goals. 

Knowledge or experience of working in an educational setting is desirable but not essential; we believe in getting the right people into our organisation.  Training specific to an educational setting can be provided as required. 

This position may also be of interest to people who are interested in teaching.  As part of the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust we have close links to the Trinity Institute of Education, which provides numerous routes into the profession. 

This position also represents a unique opportunity for anyone who is interested in developing a career in education.  Over the last three years all our curriculum tutors have gone on to become teachers or have been promoted into positions within support staff roles.  

What we need: 

• Good numeracy and literacy 
• Ability to relate well to children and young people 
• Experience of working with, or caring for children or young people of a relevant age
