Fixed term contract to July 2022

Since becoming part of the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust, Trinity Academy Grammar has had a plethora of successes in all areas of student attainment which means the academy can now be recognised as one of the most improved schools in the country.

An exciting position has arisen an Early Careers Teacher (Year 1) to complete their induction year with us. We are looking for someone to teach both within their subject specialism and across other subjects in school. We have recently been awarded ‘World Class School’ status; we wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without world class staff. Alongside appointing committed individuals who live and breath our values, we invest heavily in developing our staff to succeed in their careers.

As a teacher this naturally starts with our ECT programme which includes:

  • One hour a week of subject knowledge development
  • One hour a week to develop your pedagogy
  • Weekly mentor meetings
  • Regular ‘low stakes’ observations and feedback
  • A term-long induction programme

The feedback from our staff consistently tells us these are useful sessions:

  • 100% of ECTs agree that weekly CPD, curriculum CPD and all time with their mentor has had a direct impact on their practice.
  • 100% of new staff to the academy agree that the new staff induction programme including the weekly coaching has had a direct impact on their practice.
  • 100% of all teaching staff say that the weekly curriculum CPD sessions are having a direct impact on the curriculum they teach as well as their practice.

Although this is a fixed term contract to July 2022, there is the possibility of extension or the potential to move into a permanent role if a vacancy arises.
