Education

Great teaching. Every lesson. Every day.

Great teaching doesn’t happen by chance.

The classroom is where our promises become real.

Everything we say about ambition, potential and opportunity eventually comes down to what a young person experiences in the classroom.

Every young person has the right to an ambitious, academically robust curriculum across a wide range of subjects — and the support to achieve well within it.

We want pupils to build strong knowledge, discover their interests and develop talents that can shape what comes next. Where barriers arise, our schools respond with tailored, evidence-informed intervention, including specialist provision, bespoke learning environments, trained colleagues and support from external professionals where needed.

Character development is also a planned part of the curriculum, from nursery through to post-16. Across Trinity, this is strengthened by a wide enrichment offer spanning sport, music, drama and the creative arts, alongside trips and educational visits linked to learning, aspiration and experience.

From local visits and subject fieldwork to international opportunities in places such as New York, Iceland and Italy, we want young people to experience more, understand more and see more of what is possible.

Creating the conditions for great teaching.

We bring these things together so colleagues can keep developing their teaching and every pupil can benefit from an education that keeps getting better.

Calm classrooms. Strong relationships.

Clear routines, positive relationships and shared expectations create calm, purposeful environments where teachers can teach and pupils can focus on learning.

Great ideas can start anywhere.

Our Grass Roots Model identifies strong practice happening in classrooms and creates opportunities to develop and share it across Trinity.

Expertise grows when it’s shared.

Our Quality Improvement Networks connect colleagues across schools and subjects to share practice, explore challenges and develop together.

Understand learning. Improve teaching.

Our Mechanisms of Learning turn research around attention, memory, practice and retrieval into approaches colleagues can use in the classroom.

Helping learning last.

Masters of Recall helps pupils revisit and retrieve important knowledge, strengthening what they know and helping learning stick over time.

Time to think. Space to develop.

Through Trust-wide INSET, conferences and professional learning, colleagues have time to reflect, learn from others and continually refine their practice.
