Our family of primary academies
Across our primary academies, children are given the strongest possible start. High expectations, excellent teaching and rich experiences help every child build confidence, develop a love of learning and establish the foundations they need to thrive.
Each academy has its own identity and community, strengthened by the expertise, opportunities and support that come from being part of Trinity.
Trinity Academy Akroydon
In 2017, Trinity Academy Akroydon joined Trinity. Results were poor and the academy needed a new direction. With the trust’s vision and approach, hard work soon brought results. In 2019, Akroydon Primary Academy was named ‘Calderdale’s Most Improved School’. From January 2021, the school name changed to Trinity Academy Akroydon to be in line with other trust schools.
Trinity Academy St Chad's
Trinity Academy St Chad’s joined Trinity in 2019 following an Inadequate Ofsted rating. Just a few short years and one pandemic later, the academy emerged with a glowing Ofsted report that reflects the unwavering dedication and hard work of the entire school community, as the school received Good with Outstanding features.
Trinity Academy St Peter's
Trinity Academy St Peter’s joined the trust in September 2020. Yet, in 2019, the school had received ‘requires improvement’ in all areas. Within just three years of joining Trinity, the academy achieved an Ofsted Good rating in all areas.
Trinity Academy Whitehill
In January 2024, Whitehill Community Academy joined Trinity to become Trinity Academy Whitehill. Located in the heart of Illingworth, Halifax, this thriving academy has a proud history of providing quality education to local children.
