A year of national recognition and awards for Trinity
During the 2025/26 academic year, Trinity and colleagues across our academies received recognition in several major national education awards. These honours celebrate individual academy success alongside trust-wide leadership. They reflect the incredible dedication of our entire team. Together, our teachers, leaders, and support staff give young people the best start in life.
Leading from the front
Strong leadership sets the tone for everything we do.
At the MAT Excellence Awards, Trinity CEO Michael Gosling was shortlisted for CEO of the Year. The nomination came during another year of growth for our trust as we continued to strengthen our academies, invest in our teams, and share good practice across the sector.

Celebrating excellence at academy and trust level
The Tes Schools Awards brought a double shortlist for Trinity, putting both our central vision and individual school culture on the national stage.
Trinity was named a finalist for Trust of the Year, while Anna Gillinder, Principal at Trinity Academy Cathedral, was shortlisted for Headteacher of the Year. Anna’s nomination highlighted the strong, supportive culture built at Cathedral, while the trust-wide shortlist recognised the collective work happening across our family of schools.

Trust of the year win and recognition for inclusion
The year ended on a high note at the nEdEx School & Trust Leadership Awards, where Trinity was named Trust of the Year. The award celebrated the work happening every day across our academies and central teams to improve education and create greater opportunities for young people.
Alongside this trust-wide award, Trinity Academy Carlton Mill was shortlisted for the SEND Excellence Award for its child-centred alternative provision. Serving communities as part of our group of West Yorkshire schools, Carlton Mill provides tailored support so that pupils with additional needs can re-engage, feel valued, and succeed. The team’s work also earned commendation from Kate Dearden MP for making a lasting difference to local families.

Education awards and national recognition give our teams a moment to pause and celebrate the difference we are making together. But as always, we continue to invest in our teachers, refine our support, and raise standards across every Academy we serve.
