Trinity shortlisted twice at the Tes Schools Awards 2026
Trinity has earned two places on the shortlist at the prestigious Tes Schools Awards 2026. Trinity MAT is shortlisted for Trust of the Year. Meanwhile, Trinity Academy Cathedral Principal Anna Gillinder is up for Headteacher of the Year. These spotlights celebrate the incredible dedication of all colleagues at Trinity.
Recognition like this also reflects the daily life in our classrooms. Anna Gillinder’s nomination for Headteacher of the Year highlights her clear direction at Trinity Academy Cathedral. It speaks to a school culture where young people feel supported, high expectations are normal, and teachers are backed to do their best work.
At the same time, the Trust of the Year nomination brings our wider family of schools into focus. A strong multi-academy trust isn’t built on central administration; it’s built on shared knowledge, joint support, and a commitment to every local community we serve. When one school finds a better way to support children, that learning quickly benefits thousands of young people across all our academies.
Being named on the Tes Schools Awards 2026 shortlists alongside some of the most dedicated educators nationwide is an honour. We are proud of the progress our trust and family of Academies achieve together every day. However, the real reward is seeing young people walk out of our doors with choices, confidence, and real opportunities. There’s still plenty more to do, and we’re looking forward to what comes next.
