Leading with vision: CEO Michael Gosling shortlisted for MAT Excellence Award
Trinity CEO, Michael Gosling, has been shortlisted for CEO of the Year. The MAT Excellence Awards honoured his visionary leadership and consistent work to drive the Trust forward while raising standards for every student.
Michael has grown Trinity from a single academy in 2010 into an 11-academy trust educating over 8,000 children, with every academy now Good or Outstanding. He has opened two free schools judged Outstanding at first inspection, created an Outstanding sixth-form college in Halifax, and founded White Rose Education, a global multi-million-pound business – a King’s Award winner – extending Trinity’s reach.
This nomination comes during another year of growth across our Trust. Together, we have continued to strengthen our academies, create richer opportunities for children and teachers, and share proven best practice across the wider education sector. When our academies thrive, our communities benefit directly.
While recognition is a welcome milestone, leadership is a team effort that’s about opening doors for others. This nomination reflects the collective dedication of teachers, support staff, and young people across all our academies who make our vision a reality every day.
We are immensely proud to see our Trust leadership recognised on a national stage at the MAT Excellence Awards. But awards are a marker of progress, not the final destination. We are always innovating to build bright futures for every young person in our care.
